The results from the 2017 Indiana Manufacturing Survey: Upgrading for Growth reveal that with ready capital and an appetite for expansion, Indiana manufacturers are poised to invest in a strategy that will fuel growth and help them address the ongoing workforce shortage: automation.
Katz, Sapper & Miller and Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business conduct the annual Indiana Manufacturing Survey, now in its 11th year, in partnership with the Indiana Manufacturers Association and Conexus Indiana. Respondents to this year’s survey reflect views from rural to urban Indiana communities, and industries ranging from industrial equipment, automotive, aerospace/defense, packaging, high-tech, and healthcare.
