2021 Vision Award Winners: Client Service Excellence

Congratulations to the winners of the 2021 Katz, Sapper & Miller Vision Awards! These awards, now in their third year, recognize KSM employees whose work inside and outside of KSM exemplifies excellence in one of the three pillars of our Vision – People, Clients, and Community.

Nominations were solicited from all employees, and the winners were selected by a committee consisting of partners and firm leaders. This year, six deserving honorees – two in each category – were announced during a December all-firm virtual meeting.

2021 Client Service Excellence Winners: Ryan Hasler and Jennifer Moore

The Client Service Excellence Award recognizes employees for outstanding internal or external client service. The criteria for this award include making an effort to provide a consistently outstanding experience for clients that clearly stands out as going above and beyond, demonstrating tremendous tenacity and commitment in helping resolve a major client issue, and receiving an abundance of unsolicited feedback from inside and outside the firm that the nominee consistently exceeded expectations.

Congratulations to Ryan Hasler and Jennifer Moore, winners of the Client Service Excellence Award!

Ryan was nominated by Amy Lehrman, managing director of KSM’s Fort Wayne office, for the pivotal role he played in helping KSM’s clients navigate the Paycheck Protection Program and Employee Retention Tax Credit during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. As one of KSM’s internal subject matter experts on these complex programs, Ryan spent countless hours studying and then teaching both clients and KSM employees their finer details. Ryan also persevered in digging deeper for clients who on the surface appeared to be ineligible for these programs. With his calm demeanor, persistence, and command of the subject matter, Ryan helped allay the fears of KSM clients during a very uncertain and stressful time.

Jennifer was nominated by KSM Partner Katie Culp, particularly for her work throughout 2020 to help provide educational information on complex COVID relief programs to KSM clients and the business community. As the leader of KSM’s Marketing department, Jennifer worked around the clock with internal subject matter experts and her team to publish notices of federal, state, and local legislative changes and analysis of market conditions to help businesses navigate the crisis. At the height of the pandemic, these efforts resulted in approximately 200 blog posts and webinars that were applauded for their detail, clarity, and timeliness.
