KSM Again Honored for Championing Women in the Workplace

FORT WAYNE – KSM is honored to once again be recognized in the Women’s Fund of Greater Fort Wayne’s Women in the Workplace 2023 Employer Scorecard for leading the way in supporting women in the workplace via supportive benefits and policies and equitable recruitment and retention.

The Women’s Fund of Greater Fort Wayne, an initiative of the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne, surveys local employers annually to better understand the employment landscape for women – from leadership demographics and compensation to benefits, policies, and hiring practices. The resulting report highlights opportunities for improvement and recognizes employers who are getting it right, including KSM.

“At KSM, we recognize the importance of embracing diversity, including the unique perspectives and contributions of women, and ensuring all team members have equal opportunities to thrive. We’re committed to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and respected, promoting equity and flexibility in all aspects of our work culture,” said Amy Lehrman, managing partner of KSM’s Fort Wayne office.

At the 2024 Women in the Workplace luncheon, which included the release of the 2023 scorecard and honored the local employers mentioned in it, Zach Sauder, a partner in KSM’s Fort Wayne office, spoke to the audience about the importance of allyship in particular.

“After participating in KSM’s male allyship program last year, I learned what a truly unique and supportive organization I’m part of. Our firm is committed to developing better allies for our female colleagues, fostering understanding across genders, and working to resolve very real issues such as microaggressions, power imbalances, and exclusivity. So, our recognition in this year’s Women in the Workplace Scorecard is a welcome affirmation that we are headed in the right direction.”

The Women’s Fund of Greater Fort Wayne surveyed 54 local employers to better understand the landscape of women in leadership, compensation of women, benefits, and policies available to women in the workforce, and equitable hiring practices.
