Amy Lehrman is managing partner of Katz, Sapper & Miller’s Fort Wayne office. Amy leads the day-to-day efforts for the office and works closely with KSM leadership to help realize the firm’s vision: to be the leading accounting, tax, and consulting firm for closely held, family-owned businesses in northeast Indiana. Whether she’s mentoring staff, advising clients, developing new business, or giving back to her community – all at which she excels – Amy embodies KSM’s mission of inspiring great people to do great things.
With more than a decade of experience in public accounting, Amy serves as a trusted advisor to her clients, developing tailored tax planning solutions to help them minimize tax liability and increase efficiencies. Her experience includes federal entity-level and individual taxation, state and local tax, estate planning, property tax, and audit defense. Additionally, she has extensive experience with high-net-worth individuals and trusts. Amy serves clients in a variety of industries, including insurance, professional services, private equity, retail, real estate, and manufacturing and distribution.
After spending the first decade of my career at a large national firm, what attracted me to KSM is its focus on the northeast Indiana market, including its dedication to being here, being present, and making an impact on this community. I was born and raised in the Fort Wayne area, and it’s important to me to work with companies in this market so that I can help them grow and thrive.
Amy received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting, with a minor in non-profit management, from Manchester College.
Amy is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Indiana CPA Society. She serves as a board member and executive committee member of Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana (JANI), where she also serves as co-chair for JA’s Purseology event, as well as a committee member for the JA Wine & Beer Festival. Amy previously served on the board of directors and finance committee for Mental Health America of Northeast Indiana and is a former committee member for The Lutheran Foundation’s Regional Mental Health Coalition.
In honor of her achievements, Amy was named one of KPC Media Group, Inc.’s 2022 Influential Women of Northeast Indiana. Additionally, she was the recipient of a 2019 Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly Forty Under 40 award.
