Barry Aranoff is a partner in KSM’s New York office and a member of the firm’s Audit & Assurance Services Group. Barry helps clients navigate the ever-changing landscape of financial reporting and accounting standards, ensuring they stay aligned with best practices and are equipped to make informed, profitable business decisions. He serves clients in a wide range of industries, providing guidance on financial statements prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles in the United States (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). He also has experience assisting clients with personal financial statements and conducting due diligence, agreed-upon procedures, and forensic accounting engagements.
Prior to joining KSM, Barry served as a partner at Shanholt Glassman Klein Kramer & Co., one of New York’s premier firms serving the real estate community. He also previously served as a controller for a private real estate company, where he managed the financial reporting requirements of several real estate portfolios. Additionally, he worked as a manager in the real estate audit practice of a global accounting firm.
I live by the philosophy of “work hard, play hard.” To me, it means dedicating myself fully to serving clients and achieving goals while also making time to enjoy life and create meaningful moments outside of work. Striking that balance keeps me motivated and fulfilled.
Barry graduated magna cum laude from Yeshiva University’s Sy Syms School of Business with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.
Barry is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the New York State Society of CPAs, and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants. He serves on the board of directors and audit committee of Salanter Akiba Riverdale Academy.
