Brian Chesnut

Brian Chesnut is a director in KSM’s Cincinnati office and a member of the firm’s Business Advisory Group. Brian specializes in providing tax planning and compliance services to high-net-worth individuals and their families, helping them identify strategies to maximize tax savings and thoughtfully plan for the future. He also works closely with privately held companies and their owners, delivering tailored tax strategies to help them achieve their financial goals.

With more than two decades of experience in tax planning, compliance, and consulting, Brian has developed a deep expertise in serving a diverse range of clients. Prior to joining KSM, he most recently served as a senior tax manager at a regional tax and accounting firm. His previous roles also include serving as a senior tax manager for Cassady Schiller, one of Cincinnati’s largest accounting firms, and working in the tax department of a Fortune 500 company. He spent the early years of his career with a Big Four accounting firm.

The best advice I’ve received is: “Own your mistakes.” Everyone makes mistakes, but it’s  the actions you take afterward that show your true character. I received this advice early in my career, and it has been instrumental in shaping everything I do, both personally and professionally.
