Brian Stautberg is a partner in Katz, Sapper & Miller’s Cincinnati office and a member of the firm’s Business Advisory Group. Brian specializes in providing sophisticated, data-driven tax solutions to businesses and individuals. His focus includes planning, compliance, and research for privately owned businesses and individuals. He has experience in estate and gift planning, mergers and acquisitions, exit and succession planning, investment real estate transactions, state and local taxation, and a host of other areas.
Prior to joining KSM, Brian spent 32 years at Cassady Schiller, one of Cincinnati’s largest accounting firms, where he started as an intern and became a tax partner in 2006.
Although I was never in the Army, their “Be All You Can Be” slogan has resonated with me since the first time I heard it. To me, it means taking advantage of each moment and always bringing your best, no matter what you’re doing.
Brian received both a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree and a Master of Science degree in taxation from the Carl H. Linder College of Business at the University of Cincinnati. He has also earned the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®) designation from The American College of Financial Services.
Brian is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and The Ohio Society of CPAs. He serves on the finance committee for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Cincinnati and recently joined the advisory board of Matthew 25 Ministries. He also serves on the Elder High School alumni board of governors and on the fundraising committee for one of the school’s endowed scholarship funds.
In 2015, Brian was recognized as one of the Top 10 Public Accounting Professionals in Ohio by the National Academy of Public Accounting Professionals.
