Carly Thomason is a senior associate in Katz, Sapper & Miller’s Technical Accounting Advisory Services Group. Carly serves as a resource and technical expert helping KSM clients and engagement teams identify and better understand complex accounting and auditing topics. She researches technical accounting topics, interprets new accounting and professional standards, and advises KSM teams and clients on appropriate solutions to complicated accounting matters.
Prior to joining KSM, Carly served as an independent strategic consultant, providing financial accounting and audit support services to her clients. She also spent nearly seven years at a large accounting, consulting, and wealth management firm, where she most recently served in the audit and assurance practice and strategy and innovation group.
Carly received a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from California State University, Stanislaus.
Carly is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and California Society of CPAs. Carly serves as a foster volunteer for various animal rescues as well as a shelter volunteer at her local animal shelter. She also volunteers for her local Meals on Wheels chapter.
