Daniel Horn is a director in KSM’s Transaction Advisory Services Group. Daniel helps buyers and sellers navigate post-transaction accounting and contract matters. Additionally, he provides internal controls consulting, alternative dispute resolution, financial modeling, data analytics, business and financial transition support, audit readiness, forensic accounting, and guidance on technical accounting issues.
Prior to joining KSM, Daniel spent two years with a family office, where he led the valuation, financial due diligence, and integration aspects for potential acquisitions. He also provided a variety of services to the organization’s eleven wholly-owned industrial manufacturing subsidiaries as an internal consultant and project manager cross-supporting financial and operational objectives.

A quote that I live by is “If you want to be great at anything, start by being a great listener.” I’m not sure if I read that somewhere or made it up, but I remind myself of this constantly. A close second: “Ask good questions. Lots of them.”
Daniel received a Bachelor of Music degree in music education from Michigan State University.
In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant in Indiana and Michigan, Daniel has earned the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designation from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) as well as the Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst (FMVA) designation from the Corporate Finance Institute. He also holds an Advanced Defined Contribution Plans Audit Certificate from the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA).
Daniel is a member of the Indiana CPA Society, the Michigan Association of CPAs, the AICPA, and the ACFE.
