David Eckel is managing director of KSM’s Information Technology Services Group. David leads the firm’s strategic development and expansion of technology solutions offerings, including IT strategy, virtual CIO, AI analytics and automation, and cloud services. He is passionate about leveraging emerging technologies to create innovative, scalable solutions that drive long-term success. With extensive experience in IT consulting, he specializes in helping clients align technology with their business goals – driving efficiency, value, and growth.
Prior to joining KSM, David served as senior vice president of Fortude’s Microsoft technologies-focused practice, helping clients accelerate growth with digital solutions in data, automation, AI, and cloud technologies. Earlier in his career, David co-founded and served as CEO of a regional cloud and managed services provider, which was acquired by a leading supply chain consulting firm. Post-acquisition, David served as managing partner of enterprise solutions and technology business units for the firm.
With more than 30 years of experience delivering technology solutions, he has helped many organizations in the distribution, engineering, e-commerce, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, transportation, and not-for-profit industries.

David received a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Ball State University.
David serves on the preschool leadership team for Venture Christian Church.
In honor of his achievements, David has been the recipient of the Indianapolis Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 award as well as the Lacy Leadership Association’s Lacy Leadership Advancement Award.
