Edward Dinkel

Ed Dinkel is a managing director with Noble Consulting Services, Inc., KSM’s insurance regulatory consulting group. With over three decades of experience in financial solvency matters, corporate transactions, and statutory accounting, Ed has built a reputation as a trusted advisor in the insurance regulatory landscape.

Prior to joining KSM, Ed was a senior financial consultant with a leading insurance regulatory consulting firm. Additionally, he served as senior accreditation manager and controller at the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), where he oversaw the NAIC’s Financial Regulation Standards and Accreditation Program. During his time at the NAIC, he performed accreditation reviews and pre-accreditation reviews of state insurance departments; maintained the policies, procedures, and standards of the NAIC Financial Accreditation Program; provided staff support to the NAIC’s Financial Regulation Standards and Accreditation (F) Committee; and participated in presentations and training programs. As the controller, he was responsible for overseeing the NAIC accounting staff and the preparation of monthly financial statements.

Ed began his career in public accounting, serving as a staff accountant for a number of CPA firms. His experience in audit, tax preparation, and financial reporting provided a strong foundation for his work in regulatory finance and compliance.
