Erik DeWael is a senior associate in Katz, Sapper & Miller’s Real Estate Services Group. Erik provides tax planning and consulting services to the firm’s real estate clients, helping them minimize their tax liabilities and make sound business decisions. He is experienced with asset sale forecasting and projections, tax research, and like-kind exchange transactions.
Erik received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and business analytics from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University as well as a Master of Science degree in accounting from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.
Erik is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, Indiana CPA Society, and serves as treasurer of the board of Rock Steady Boxing of Brownsburg. Additionally, Erik has served as a mentor for the Hamilton Southeastern High School Academy of Finance program.
