My papa always told me to be the better person. While some see it as “taking the high ground,” I see it as being my best self. I return my cart at the store, pick up trash on the golf course, and help my elderly neighbors. The world needs good people, and I aim to be one every day.
Jake graduated summa cum laude from Ball State University, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and a Master of Accountancy degree.
Jake is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Indiana CPA Society, and the Indiana chapter of the Urban Land Institute. He serves as membership chair for the American Cancer Society’s Associate Board of Ambassadors. Previously, Jake served as vice president of finance and sponsorships for Friends of Riley, a local young professional not-for-profit organization which raises funds for Riley Hospital for Children’s Child Life Program. He regularly volunteers for Meals on Wheels of Central Indiana and is a tutor volunteer through Brightlane Learning (formerly School on Wheels) during the school year.
In 2023, Jake was named a recipient of Ball State University’s Paul W. Parkison Department of Accounting Alumni 3 Under 30 award. He was named to the Indiana Business Journal’s 20 in Their Twenties class of 2022, which recognizes up-and-coming leaders in central Indiana whose achievements stand out from their peers.
