Jim Krillenberger

Jim Krillenberger is a managing director in KSM’s Valuation Services Group. Jim works with clients to perform business and asset valuations for financial reporting, tax matters, disputes, and transactions in business interests. He has more than 25 years of experience in valuing business enterprises, equity and debt interests, and intangible assets.

Prior to joining KSM, Jim founded ValueKnowledge LLC, a Chicago-based valuations firm he successfully led for more than two decades. His extensive career includes partnership roles at two Big Four firms (one in transaction advisory services) and a managing director position in S&P Global’s valuation practice. Additionally, Jim has taught as an adjunct instructor in the executive MBA program at the University of Notre Dame.

Jim received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and a Master of Business Administration degree from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. He has earned the Chartered Financial Analysis designation from the CFA Institute and the Accredited Senior Appraiser designation from the American Society of Appraisers (ASA).

Jim is a member of ASA. He serves as an appointed village official in communities in Illinois and Michigan.
