JP Moore is a partner in Katz, Sapper & Miller’s Business Advisory Group. JP works with clients on a holistic level to identify opportunities to minimize tax liabilities by navigating between their business and personal circumstances. He provides federal and multistate tax planning, compliance, and consulting services to businesses, individuals, foundations, trusts, and estates.
JP also works with private equity investors on multiple levels, providing tax planning and strategies for the private equity firms, individual owners, and their portfolio companies. He advises companies throughout the transaction lifecycle, from the acquisition phase through growth and eventual exit. JP works with companies in a variety of industries, including financial services, technology, real estate, construction, manufacturing and distribution, healthcare, franchises, and other service-based businesses.
JP received a Bachelor of Science degree in business with concentrations in accounting and finance as well as a minor in economics from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.
JP is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Indiana CPA Society. Previously, JP served as a men’s soccer coach at Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School for 10 years and remains active in the soccer community. He is also involved with the IU Kelley School of Business Alumni Association.
In 2018, JP was presented with the KSM Vision Award for Client Service Excellence in recognition of his commitment to going above and beyond the firm’s client service philosophy and standards to provide a consistently outstanding experience for clients.
