Kevin Sullivan is a partner in Katz, Sapper & Miller’s Tax Services Group. With a strong background in federal and state tax matters, Kevin brings a history of helping businesses maximize cash flow with minimum liability. Additionally, he provides income tax and estate planning advice to clients as well as handles tax controversies. Kevin has specific experience with research (R&D) tax credits, a valuable and often overlooked credit that may provide significant savings that businesses can use to reinvest in their research and development efforts.
Kevin serves clients in a multitude of industries, and has worked extensively with manufacturers, distributors, and automobile dealerships. He’s in charge of KSM’s insurance tax practice, where he has substantial experience in structuring businesses, mergers and acquisitions, and tax accounting methods.
Kevin received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Valparaiso University and a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. During his studies, Kevin was the recipient of the Hall, Render, Killian, Heath and Lyman Award for excellence in the area of state and local taxation.
Kevin is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Indiana CPA Society, the American Bar Association, and the Indiana Bar Association. He serves on the board of trustees of La Lumiere School in La Porte, Indiana.
