Mark Benninghoff is a director of healthcare consulting with Katz, Sapper & Miller’s Healthcare Resources Group. Mark helps health systems, hospitals, and physician groups improve their operational effectiveness.
Mark has over 25 years of healthcare industry experience, both in consulting and in physician practice management. He utilizes his broad experience in healthcare finance, strategy, and operations to arrive at optimal solutions for his clients. His expertise includes revenue cycle assessment and optimization, workflow optimization, physician practice operational improvement, practice onboarding and integration, and provider enrollment.
Prior to joining the firm, Mark worked as a director at a national healthcare consulting firm, where he helped both academic and integrated delivery systems with a range of physician practice issues related to revenue cycle, access, operations, strategy, and finances. Mark has also previously served as a healthcare executive, including as chief operations officer for physician enterprise, executive vice president of physician services for a large academic medical center, and as an accountant at a national accounting firm. Mark is a frequent speaker at national and regional conferences and meetings for various healthcare associations.
Mark received a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting and business administration from Thiel College and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
Mark is a member of the Medical Group Management Association and the Administrator Support Community for ENT (ASCENT). He also serves as on Thiel College’s board of trustees.
