Matt Svenstrup is a director in Katz, Sapper & Miller’s Transaction Advisory Services Group. Matt works with middle-market buyers and sellers to assess their quality of earnings. Through financial due diligence, he helps clients gain an accurate picture of a company’s financial position and potential risk. Matt has extensive experience providing diligence services in the construction industry and is skilled at assessing and analyzing the complexities of project-based accounting in a deal environment.
Matt previously worked in the direct investing arm of a family office, sourcing and analyzing equity investments in the lower middle market. He has also served as a financial planning and analysis leader in a private equity-backed business. His professional experience includes internal audit and risk management services for a top 10 accounting firm, where he served both privately held and publicly traded banking, insurance, manufacturing, and retail clients.
Matt received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Purdue University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Indiana University.
Matt is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) Indiana, where he serves on the Young ACG committee. He was previously a member of the board of directors for Heritage Place and coached football at Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School.
