Mike Wipper

Mike Wipper is a partner at Katz, Sapper & Miller and co-leader of the firm’s Transaction Advisory Services Group. Mike works with potential buyers and sellers, including private equity-backed businesses, to assess the quality of earnings for target companies. Through the quality of earnings process, he helps clients ensure a complete understanding of the target company’s financial condition. Mike has worked on deals with earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) ranging from $500,000 to $50 million and has significant experience with manufacturing, industrial distribution, technology, construction, and consumer products companies. He has worked on more than 100 transactions throughout his career and continues to find ways to add value and perspective to the deal process.

Mike is also a member of the firm’s Audit & Assurance Services Group, where he focuses on serving private equity and venture capital-backed businesses. Mike works with businesses to help ensure accurate financial reporting and verify that strong and efficient control structures are in place across their financial processes. He assists clients with accounting for complex transactions including business combinations, equity transactions, and revenue accounting.

Prior to joining KSM, Mike spent eight years at a Big Four firm in Boston. He has provided assurance services to clients in multiple industries throughout his career, working with both large, multinational corporations and private companies. Additionally, Mike has assisted several clients through the IPO process.
