Rob Backus is Katz, Sapper & Miller’s chief technology officer. Overseeing KSM’s information technology (IT) team, Rob is responsible for the planning, development, execution, and management of all aspects of the firm’s IT operations, including infrastructure, security, application and support services, and software development. He collaborates with KSM leadership to establish a technology-focused vision and to implement strategic software initiatives aimed at supporting the firm’s continued growth.
With nearly 20 years of experience delivering technical solutions, Rob has held various executive leadership and individual contributor roles servicing more than a dozen industries for internal and B2B/B2C systems. His expertise includes software architecture and development, data pipelines, API integrations, process automation, AI/ML, and cloud infrastructure management.
