Scott Schuster is a partner in Katz, Sapper & Miller’s Audit & Assurance Services Group, co-chair of KSM’s Not-for-Profit Services Group, and a member of the firm’s Governmental Services Group. Scott works with clients to help ensure accurate financial reporting and advises them on ways to improve their company’s reporting and internal controls to maximize performance and efficiency so they can accomplish their missions and goals.
With over 30 years of experience, Scott has served as auditor to a significant number of not-for-profits and local units of government, including the Indiana Finance Authority, Indiana Bond Bank, Ivy Tech Foundation, Park Tudor, the White River State Park Commission, Children’s Bureau, Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites Corporation, and The Center for the Performing Arts. In addition, Scott directs special projects and consulting engagements for many governmental entities and not-for-profit organizations.
Scott received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Indiana University. He is committed to maintaining his technical expertise in not-for-profit and governmental accounting, auditing, and financial reporting through continuing professional education and governmental readings. Scott annually attends the American Institute of CPAs’ (AICPA) national not-for-profit and governmental conferences.
Scott is a member of the AICPA as well as the Indiana CPA Society (INCPAS), and he is a past member of the INCPAS Not-for-Profit Committee. Scott has served on several not-for-profit boards. He chairs the audit committee for Shriners Hospitals for Children and Shriners International as well as the investment and building projects committees for Murat Shrine. Additionally, Scott serves as treasurer of the Indiana State Library Foundation and the Jacoby Foundation.
