Tim Murphy

Tim Murphy is a director in Katz, Sapper & Miller’s Audit & Assurance Services Group. As an accounting specialist with extensive knowledge of the private equity environment, Tim works with clients in this space to help them better understand their accounting practices, identify gaps in internal controls, assess risks, and create efficiencies that are unique to their business. He is also proficient in guiding clients through challenging audits in order to keep them in compliance with their required reporting needs. Tim often makes recommendations that help clients and third-party stakeholders mitigate risks for employee benefit plans and make sound financial decisions. Tim is an active member of the firm’s Manufacturing & Distribution Services Group, and, although he has experience in a number of industries, focuses primarily on manufacturing, financial services, and employee benefit plans.
